Job Description and Desired Experience:

We require one dedicated Senior Hardware/Software System Administrator (SSA) to provide on-site, on the floor, technical and system administration support of client’s primary GEOINT exploitation system. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot, provide root cause analysis, and implement solutions to local hardware and software anomalies as they occur The SSA will actively trouble shoot hardware/software integration issues and make corrective recommendations. The SSA will demonstrate extensive knowledge of exploitation systems and intelligence productions systems used by the client’s all-source intelligence analysts. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of GEOINT analysis mission and a variety of cartographic analysis and feature extraction software suites to accomplish the mission. These include Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software packages such as ESRI ArcGIS™, SocetSet™, SocetGXP™, Google Earth™, and other Government-Of The-Shelf (GOTS) software and be able to learn research and development beta software. This individual should also have strong stills in Windows Professional system administration. Additionally, the SSA will be able to show experience receiving and installing approved software releases, software patches and required software/hardware upgrades, as required to the software applications listed above. The candidate will demonstrate the a working knowledge of REMEDY trouble reporting and tracking system, and will use REMEDY to document and track all systems work as required.

 

Duties:

The SSA shall assist the client with technical issues, analysis, troubleshooting, installation and configuration, and development responsibilities for all the functional areas under current contract, to include:

· Provide hardware baselining, development, transition, deployment, and O&M support for all Intel workstations

· Workstation maintenance

· Software installs

· Initial Hardware troubleshooting

· User assistance

· Configuration maintenance

· Security Plan documentation / maintenance

· Set up and configure user accounts and profiles

· Assist in the set up and configuration of floating license servers

· Engineer and configure backup solutions

· Active Directory

· User account maintenance

· User Group maintenance

· Other Duties As-Required

· Security and Configuration Management

· Create, install, and maintain workstation images for Windows platforms

· Configure and perform system backups

· User data restoration

· Server data restoration

· Perform change management and configuration maintenance

· Maintain workstation security plans

· Proactively monitor system capacity needs such as storage or equipment needed for a growing personnel base

· Provide market surveys, product technical assessments, procurement recommendations, and obtain price quotes

· Connect, configure, or otherwise enable information systems, devices, or components

· Facility Move and System Transition Support

· Support the planning and transition of the local IT infrastructure to client’s new campus

· Briefings and reports shall be provided as needed

Education Required: Relevant college degree, and/or equivalents experience

Security: US Citizen, Current Top Secret Clearance with current Polygraph (or willingness to take polygraph is required
