Our client has multiple GEOINT projects and databases
created to support the various analytical needs of the GEOINT analysis mission.
The client requires these user created data, projects, products be cataloged in
a systematic way for future retrieval, validation, inter-office collaboration, and
status tracking. The successful GEOINT Database Analyst/Programmer (DBA) will work
with client to design, build and implement a centralized data management
process and system to solve the above problem.
Duties:
The DBA will collaborate and work with the government client
with technical issues, analysis, troubleshooting, installation and
configuration, and development responsibilities for all the functional areas
under the contract to include (but not limited to):
·Studying the client’s shared file server and make
recommendations for the long-term use, structure, archive, or removal of
specific GEOINT information
·Use client provided tools to catalog remaining
online projects and data
·Make recommendations on how this GEOINT
information can be successfully migrated to the client’s new campus’ network servers
and 300 TB storage space, analyzing the mission’s legacy requirements and the
new campus’ server/security environment
·Assist in the daily maintenance of a shared
GEOINT information
·Provide guidance on the most efficient long-term
use/storage of server space
·Assist the client’s Consolidated Analytic
Spatial initiative (CASi) data loaders with migration of online GEOINT data to
the client’s enterprise architecture
·Assist client in the use of a client provided
cataloging system and provide user training and possible user required upgrades
·Work directly with client personnel to identify
requirements and propose expedient solutions that comply with agency’s
standards
·Maintain a development production schedule in
order to apprise the customer of development progress and anticipated
completion date
·Maintain technical expertise through
participation in appropriate training, attendance at symposiums and seminars, and
appropriate Community forums
·Participate in studies and working exercises as
directed by the government
·As directed, act as government representative at
technical and/or operations meetings to protect government and NGA equities
·Assist the branch senior GEOINT analyst with
general data storage and management issues
·Assist branch chiefs with project tracking and
retrieval
·Assist the technical executive with planning for
GEOINT storage
·Deliverables for these tasks shall include
technical GIS Database systems briefings
·Provide monthly activities report
·Facility Move and System Transition Support
·Support the planning and transition of the local
IT infrastructure to client’s new campus
Education Required:Relevant college degree, and/or equivalents experience
Security:US
Citizen, Current Top Secret Clearance with current Polygraph (or willingness to
take polygraph is required
